Hello, and welcome to the blog! My name is Jonathan Simmons, and I am a cellist, as you might have discerned already by the title of the blog. At the time of this writing, I am currently studying with Wendy Warner as I pursue an Artist Diploma from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. Through this blog, I hope to share some of what I have learned and continue to learn about the cello, its repertoire, its technique, and many other sundry topics. A few of the topics in which I believe I have as much or more experience than most include the cello/organ repertoire and online instruction. I have been teaching online for several years before the COVID-19 pandemic moved everyone online!
